I should be studying for finals

Tonight I mocked up one side of the v-racks. Came out pretty good, epoxy is setting and now I just wait until I can do some carbon wrap! Measuring off of bamboo to make a precise measurement sucks. Its not straight. Oh well!
 More to come tomorrow!

Most recent project

Well, my winter project for this year is going to be an xtracycle. Brainstorming for ideas, I decided to just build my own to overcome the price tag of a complete free-radical kit. I looked around I realized I had enough supplies to build a bamboo long-tail onto an existing frame. Fast forward a week, my long-tail conversion is done! Tested it out on a 17 miles snow ride and everything performed great! Now its time to finish making the mounts for the V-racks and it will be all set!

Front wheel- Sun BFR laced to shimano disc
Rear wheel- Halo Combat laced to surly ss disc

I'm starting this blog to promote my bamboo bicycle frames

Well I need to get the word out there somehow, seems like everybody has one of these things.

I am currently building fully custom Bamboo bike frames out of my house (mainly my living room/porch). Im a college student and building bike frames is hobby of mine, Im not running a business here. If you would like one, please shoot me an email and we can talk.

I built #1 for myself, a total learning experience.
I just finished building #2, which will be for my brother, and it came out great!
-Some highlights of #2
Ti Rear Triangle, Hand wrapped carbon fiber joints, Close to 40 hours of attention on this single frame. How light is it? 3.65 pounds. When it came out of the factory the claimed weight was 3.8 lbs.

Have a broken frame that needs repair? Thats how this frame started out. It was headed to the garbage with a cracked Down/Top tube when my brother gave it to me to fix it. Now it has been revived and fully ride-able. More bad ass then ever.

Want one? Send me an email and we will talk numbers.
